"We're Here to Be Your Lifeline"
Lifeline Addiction Specialists has undertaken a number of serious measures to protect patients and staff during COVID-19 global pandemic. Patients are only admitted to facilities in limited numbers, staff levels are restricted, and CDC & state safety guidelines (social distancing, PPE, handwashing) are strictly followed. Please ask your provider how services have been adjusted during this time.
We offer an office-based medication assisted treatment program for adults with opioid dependence with locations in both Beckley and Summersville. Buprenorphine (Suboxone) is one of the most effective and lifestyle changing forms of care available to overcome the compulsion to engage in substance abuse. These medications relieve the withdrawl symptoms and psychological cravings that cause chemical imbalances in the body and provide a safe and controlled level of medication to overcome the use of an abuse opioid.
The medical staff at Lifeline provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management for various mental health disorders, including depression, aniety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. We also understand the importance of treating the underlying cause of substance abuse, not just the outward face of addiction. The mission of Lifeline is to enhance total wellness by improving the mental and physical health of our community.
"Instead of seeing addiction as a moral failing, americans need to be more compassionate and view it the same way they view diabetes and other chronic disease. Treatment reduces illicit drug use, disease rates, overdoses, and crime."
"Patients who use medications to treat their opioid use disorder remain in therapy longer than people who don't; they are also significantly less likely to use illicit opioids. MAT helps to decrease overdose deaths and reduce the transmission of infectious diseases, including HIV and Hepatitis C."
